Lighted Lovebird Circus Cage
Underneath the tiny muslin lightshade is a small 12 volt light that unscrews for easy changing when it burns out. It runs on a 9 volt battery that is inset into the back of the piece so that it will hang flush to the wall. There is a tiny on/off switch on the bottom of the piece so you don’t have to remove it from the wall to turn it off and on. There is a soft glow on the two little light blue clay lovebirds that cuddle together in a nest made of weathered and painted wire that stands perched in a wire tree. There is a fabric sign hanging from the cage front that reads “CIRCUS”. There is a rusted metal heart in the center of the cage bottom that is red on the top and white when viewed from the bottom. The found wood plaque it hangs from measures approx. 4″ square and has a handpainted red scallop on each side. The cage is approximately 6.5″ long by 2″ wide and is constructed of fabric, wire, and paint.
This piece currently for sale at select galleries only.
