Lovebirds in Hanging Cage with Light
I’ve wanted to add small lights to my hanging wall plaques for awhile now and we’ve finally accomplished that. Underneath the red and white tissue paper tent is a small 12 volt light that unscrews for easy changing when it burns out. It runs on a 9 volt battery that is inset into the back of the piece so that it will hang flush to the wall. There is a tiny on/off switch on the bottom of the piece so you don’t have to remove it from the wall to turn it off and on. There is a soft glow on the two little red clay lovebirds that perch together on a real wood twig. The word “Love” is mounted on the wood plaque above the light. The found wood plaque measures approx. 4″ square and has a handpainted red scallop on each side. The cage is approximately 3.5″ long by 2.5″ wide and is constructed of tissue paper, wire, and paint.
This piece currently for sale at select galleries only.
