Faith and Trust-large scale

This piece makes a statement-no doubt about it. The title on it says”The Moment When Faith and Trust Meet”. This can be about several things: it can mean the faith and trust you have with your partner or it can mean the faith and trust you find within yourself when you’re “flying without a net”. The overall size is 30″h x 40″w. The frame and backing are constructed of pine that has been polyurethaned several times before being coated with layers of acrylic paint, fabric and wire letters, tissue paper and alkyd paints for an aged effect. The couple are made from papier mache that is covered with old sheet music. The song is from a number of different duets. The ladies’ skirt is handprinted fabric layered over toile and tissue paper. Their swings are made from painted and aged wire and wood.
